Video: Suarez describes difficulties Americans have talking about racism

[Episcopal News Service – Jackson, Mississippi] Ray Suarez, former PBS chief national correspondent who recently joined Al-Jazeera America, reflects on the difficulty Americans have in talking about race. Suarez spoke during a Nov. 15 news conference before he moderated the opening session of “Fifty Years Later: The State of Racism in America,” a two-day gathering sponsored by the Episcopal Church and the Diocese of Mississippi at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral in downtown Jackson.
