Bringing together distinguished scholars and theologians from across the globe, The Anglican Church and Palestine (Divinity & Discourse) is the first book to study the complex history of Anglican and Episcopal missions in Palestine.

Edited by Kwok Pui-lan, the essays in this collection explore how this history continues to influence circumstances in the region. They also offer theological and ethical insights into the relationship between religion and conflict and provide pastoral resources to help churches respond thoughtfully and faithfully to the ongoing crisis.

World-renowned contributors include Canon Professor Mark Chapman, Dr. Daniel Joslyn-Siemiatkoski, Dr. Miranda Pillay, the Rev. Dr. Sheryl Kujawa-Holbrook, Dr. Fadi Diab, Dr. Thandi Gamedze, and Dr. Gustavo Gilson Sousa de Oliviera.

Kwok Pui-lan, an internationally known theologian, is a Distinguished Scholar at Episcopal Divinity School and a past president of the American Academy of Religion. A pioneer of Asian and Asian American feminist theology and postcolonial theology, she is the author or editor of numerous books, including The Anglican Tradition from a Postcolonial Perspective, coeditor of Beyond Colonial Anglicanism and Anglican Women on Church and Mission, and the forthcoming Living Postcolonial Anglicanism.

Pui-Lan received the Lanfranc Award for Education and Scholarship from the Archbishop of Canterbury in 2021. She splits her time between Boston and Atlanta.
