Franciscan community elects Joe Nuber as new guardian

The Community of Francis and Clare (CFC) has elected Br Joe Nuber as their new Guardian at their Chapter at Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Center in Woodstock, Illinois.   The CFC is a dispersed Franciscan Religious Community of over 50 Brothers and Sisters living and serving throughout four provinces in the Anglican Communion and the ELCA.  Br Joe Nuber will serve a three year term as Guardian, succeeding Br Bill Tater, who retired.  The CFC has been canonically recognized by the House of Bishops of the Episcopal Church since 2022 and is a member of the National Association of Episcopal Christian Communities (NAECC).  Former Presiding Bishop, Katharine Jefferts Schori is the Bishop Visitor for the Community.  The Community website is https://cfcfranciscans.org
