St. Philip’s Episcopal Church
Joplin, MO
Job Description
St. Philip’s Church is a cherished cornerstone of faith in the heart of Joplin, Missouri with roots going back to 1874.  The parish vision is to continue to build our community of faith, according to Christ’s teaching, where all truly belong and are encouraged and enabled to participate in our mission – to worship God, follow Christ, and love our neighbor.  In action this looks like dedication to beautiful worship, faith formation, and meaningful outreach to our neighbors.

Joplin is located at the midway point of historic Route 66 in the southwestern corner of Missouri and is an economic and cultural core of that area.

St. Philip’s recognizes that this is a time of many changes and seeks a Rector who will pastorally lead them into transformation.  They seek a priest who excels in communication, teaching, preaching, administration, and change management.  This is a growing congregation that seeks a priest who will assist them in continuing to share the Good News of Jesus to the community around them.
