Job Description
St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Coconut Grove, Florida, has opened the search for our next rector. We seek a rector who is a visionary leader gifted with skills in congregational development who is an engaging preacher and has a passion for liturgy and pastoral care. We have a thriving Day School (K-5th grade) with over 300 students. The rector will work closely with the Head of School involving day to day parish and school interactions and common ministries. We are steeped in over a century of local history. Music, fellowship, and community service are important to us. We are blessed with a beautiful church and school campus. Our location in the heart of Coconut Grove serves as a sacred landmark for worshipers and passersby alike. Coconut Grove is the oldest continuously inhabited neighborhood of Greater Miami. Situated immediately south of downtown Miami, The Grove enjoys a beautiful, historic location along Biscayne Bay. In addition to the comfort of our Florida sub-tropical climate, where the days are full of warm breezes off the Atlantic Ocean, our area enjoys numerous cultural, sporting, and entertainment attractions. Greater Miami affords easy access to the Florida Keys to the south and the cities of Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach to the north.
