Job Description
The Director of Communications will oversee all parish communication efforts. Key responsibilities include maintaining the church website (with calendar), managing livestream broadcasts for Sunday and special services, and overseeing social media platforms. The role also involves producing the weekly email newsletter and other publications, serving as the photographer for events, and leading the Communications Committee.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in website design, livestreaming, videography, photography, and social media.
  • Proficiency in platforms such as Squarespace, Mailchimp, YouTube, Canva, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Facebook, Instagram, X, Linktree, Affinity Suite and/or Adobe InDesign/Photoshop (preferred), and OBS (preferred).
  • Experience in a church setting, particularly the Episcopal Church, is preferred.
  • Must undergo periodic background checks and complete diocesan Safe Church training.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, parishioners, clergy, staff, and visitors.
  • Good sense of humor and a sincere appreciation for all kinds of people.
