Nuevo Amanecer

One gathering will take place at the Kanuga retreat center in North Carolina, with the Rt. Rev. Craig Loya, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota, as keynote speaker. The second, at Camp Allen in Texas, will feature Bishop-elect Antonio Gallardo of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles. Julia Ayala Harris, president of the House of Deputies, will also serve as a keynote speaker for both conferences.

This year’s theme, “So do not fear, for I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10), speaks to the challenges of our time and calls us to continue walking together in unity and mission. The conference is designed for lay leaders, clergy, diocesan missioners, parish staff, and church planters already involved in Latino ministry. Those interested in learning about Latino ministries are also encouraged to attend. The conferences will be conducted in Spanish, with all workshops also available in English through simultaneous interpretation.

Nuevo Amanecer offers an opportunity for members of the church to gather in fellowship, celebration, and growth—sharing resources, strengthening connections, and living out the hope of the Gospel in a vibrant, communal way. Since its inception, the conference has served as a space for learning, connection, and leadership development in Latino ministries.
