Archbishop Welby’s vision for youth discipleship, evangelism and Kingdom-building

[Anglican Communion News Service] The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby has said that he would love to see young people “being disciples of Jesus, being witnesses to Jesus and being servants of the Kingdom.” He made his comments in an editorial in the latest edition of the UK’s Premier Youthwork magazine, which is celebrating its 25 anniversary.

    Will lgbtq youth be welcomed in Abp. Welby’s vision for youth ministry in the C of E?

    I share Donald’s question.
    Polls show that young people generally oppose discrimination against LGBTQI people. So it’s hard to believe that Abp. Welby’s vision will come to much fruition, without dramatic change in the Church of England’s discriminatory policies.
    Why would any young person want to be part of an organization that discriminates?
