RIP: Rowan LeCompte, stained glass artist

Rowan LeCompte, 88, passed away on Feb. 11, 2014. LeCompte was a renowned stained glass artist who designed over 40 stained glass windows and several mosaics at the Washington National Cathedral. He designed his first window for the cathedral at the age of 16, continuing the creation of windows for the cathedral and other buildings and churches throughout the United States for more than 70 years.  A celebration of life service for LeCompte will be held at the Washington National Cathedral on July 21, 2014, 10 a.m.
